InYoga’s Program
Our schedule offers 50 yoga classes a week, with convenient choices every day for students of all levels, ages and abilities. InYoga’s style is primarily Hatha Flow, or Vinyasa, a practice that links breath and movement through a sequence of poses (asanas). Classes range from restorative and gentle to stronger, more challenging flow. InYoga offers classes for students recovering from illness and injury; beginning “first timers;” those returning to practice after a long break; and experienced students who are building strength, honing alignment, and taking more advanced poses to the next level. We also offer classes for pre- and post-natal moms.
InYoga's teachers and staff are knowledgeable, friendly, supportive and inspiring. All of our teachers are professionally trained and certified, and bring a diverse background of experience with and knowledge about many traditions and disciplines, including, Anusara, Ashtanga, Dharma Mittra, Forrest, Iyengar, Jivamukti and Kundalini. All classes are taught with verbal instruction, visual demonstrations and careful physical adjustments and assistance. Most of our classes are taught with music. Practice is designed to be comfortable yet challenging, allowing students the opportunity to grow and expand their yoga practice. Choose a teacher, time and class level that feels right for you!
Yoga Benefits
All of our classes are designed to stretch, strengthen and tone the body for students who want to experience and enjoy the many benefits of yoga, both physical and mental – and, most importantly, find balance between body and mind through the breath.
Stretching your body will help you become more flexible, bringing greater range of motion to muscles and joints, and over time, you’ll gain flexibility in your hips, hamstrings, back and shoulders. Most yoga poses require us to support our own body weight in new ways; as we move through the poses we build strength and endurance. And, as we get stronger, a regular yoga practice will result in increased muscle tone, shaping long, lean muscles. Many yogi’s notice that they lose weight with regular, consistent practice. People, including athletes, practice yoga to prevent pain and/or recover from injury or illness. And for many, yoga helps promote better breathing and improved sleep.
Yoga increases our awareness of our own bodies. With teaching and practice, we are always finding new and subtle ways to adjust, re-align and refine our poses. Doing so helps create a better sense of ease and comfort in our bodies and in our lives. Asana practice is intensely physical for yoga students of all levels, requiring mindful concentration and rhythmic, steady breathing. Linking breath with movement, we disengage from our thoughts, helping us to calm our minds. Yoga requires practice and when we move with breath, our thoughts, worries and anxieties seem to melt away. When we are in the flow of yoga, we “let go” of our stressful thoughts, and begin to see ourselves and our lives with a different outlook.

“First, follow the truth, and then truth will follow you.... In the
beginning, it is true that confidence and trust are necessary, but as
you continue to practice, every step will bring more and more hope,
greater and greater confidence. If we are Yogis just for one day,
we will be transformed and want more of it.”
- Interpretation, Sri Swami Satchidananda, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, 2.36
