- Visit inyogacenter.com. Access our current class schedule, read teachers bios, review class descriptions, purchase memberships & packages, and sign up for classes and workshops.
- Arrive 5-10 minutes early. If coming to InYoga for the first time, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete new student forms and get settled. No entrance to class 15 minutes after start time. If you must leave early, please do so before final resting pose.
- Always check in at the front desk – even if you’ve made an online reservation. We provide you with a key card for quick check in.
- Turn OFF your phone. Do not leave devices on vibrate. Cell phone usage in the lobby & store is highly discouraged. This enhances your experience and is a polite gesture to your fellow students.
- Practice on an empty stomach. Do not eat 2-3 hours prior to yoga practice. Juice, fruit and protein bars are OK if you need quick energy before class. Drink plenty of water prior to class, but avoid drinking during class.
- Remove your shoes before entering the studio. Leave your shoes in a cubby in the studio lobby. We recommend taking your valuables to the cubbies inside the studio.
- Notify the teacher of injuries and medical conditions before class begins. This helps the teacher know how to assist you and give you modifications.
- Dress appropriately. Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothing. Layers help to adjust for temperature changes during and after class.
- Groom appropriately. Refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes or strong aromatic oils. If you smoke, please change your clothes before beginning class. Personal hygiene is appreciated.
- Purchase a yoga mat. Having your own mat supports your commitment to your practice and ensures its cleanliness. Mats can also be rented for $2.
- Practice often. 4-6 times per week for maximum benefit. 2-3 times per week will show improvement for most students within three months.
- Support Your Practice. By allowing yourself to experience a Private Yoga Lesson or “Yoga Lab” Session. Spend time with an expert teacher and have them cater the practice to fit your needs, or help you work with special conditions or limitations, like recovering from injury or illness. If some particular pose (or group of poses) are problematic for you, Privates and/or Labs are great for you!
